We love the Eureka Skydeck, you need to be in a plane to get any higher. In fact on the 88th floor, nearly 300 metres up, it is the highest public observation deck in the Southern Hemisphere, with amazing views over Melbourne. Visitors can explore our city, see humming neighbourhoods and Melbourne’s sights and landmarks by day and sparkling city lights at night. You’ll get birds eye views of the CBD, the Yarra River, the iconic MCG and surrounding sporting precinct, the arts centre, Port Phillip Bay, Albert Park Lake and on the horizon, the Dandenong Ranges. This should be on every visitor’s list of Melbourne things to do. Melbourne’s changing weather means no two days are the same from the Skydeck.
The Edge
Skydeck is also the home to the world’s first Edge Experience – a glass cube that projects out from the building with you inside. Not for the faint hearted, The Edge Experience further validates the Skydeck as a quintessential Melbourne tourist attraction.
The Eureka Skydeck is a self-guided experience, with a variety of language visitor guide brochures available. The Skydeck kiosk offers a range of snack food, hot and cold drinks and a boutique selection of beer and wine.
Open from 10am until 10pm every day, with final admission at 9.30pm. (On Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve we close at 5.30pm; final admission 5.00pm).
It’s one of the best things to do in Melbourne, day or night. So experience Melbourne from above and marvel at our city from this incredible vantage point at one of the most unique Melbourne Tourist attractions – Eureka Skydeck.
