Melbourne Seaplanes

What a fantastic way of viewing the Melbourne city skyline and the magnificent sights of Port Phillip and coastal beaches from the comfort of a seaplane. A great opportunity for people to show interstate and overseas visitors our beautiful city.

Melbourne Seaplanes is a family business operated by Brett and Barbara Audas that really looks after their customers. Take one of their standard sightseeing flights or plan your own, they’ll look after your preferences for things to see and do. Take a short flight or a long one. They can tailor a special romantic flight with fly/dine packages to Sorrento/Queenscliff, Geelong or picnics on beautiful secluded beaches.

Just imagine passing over the ship building and historic industrial area to turn right and fly past Williamstown’s beautiful beaches, across to St. Kilda Marina, Brighton Beach and up past the Grand Prix track at Albert Park Lake. Fly past the famous Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), Melbourne Park, Botanical Gardens, The Shrine of Remembrance and Government House.

Then pass the high rise towers of Melbourne’s Central Business District, The Eureka Tower (our tallest building), Crown Casino and the Southbank Precinct, down the Yarra River past Melbourne Exhibition and Conference complex to the Docklands area and back over the Westgate Bridge before cruising past Port Melbourne beaches and landing back at Williamstown.

The aircraft used feature a powerful 520 cubic inch (8.5 litre) motor producing 300 horsepower or 224 kw. Which allows exceptional performance. Four to five passengers depending on weight can be carried in comfort. Their good handling and excellent reliability have made these aircraft the bench mark for this type of operation.

Location

Melbourne Seaplanes is situated at 126c Nelson Place, Williamstown, so you’ll need to get over the Westgate bridge to get there – but it is well worth the trip.

Services commence at 9.00am. Bookings are preferable. The seaplane flights depart from a purpose built floating marina situated on the water front off Commonwealth Reserve just a short walk from our office.
